Whatever I guess, we'll probably be gone before the full implementation takes effect. It's beautiful watching them bring the inner cities back to life but it behooves me to see people not seeing the smoke for the fire. They are revamping every single road they are reconstructing under the guise of rebuilding communities left behind. Every single road has a bike lane for a state that basically has three, sometimes if we are lucky four really nice months of warm weather. Even during the warm weather I'd say less than one percent of people use them. If you could even get to less than one percent. Investors coming in and buying up all the old properties, rehabbing them and charging outrageous rents while they construct housing developments for low to medium income people where they could sit across the room from each other and play footsies. Streets are so narrow it increases the accident rates and severity of the accidents. No more turn on right lanes so they can create rain gardens that bump out at the corners, now cars can just sit behind each other spewing more carbon into the air while waiting to get to the corner to make a right turn. Last time I looked rain wasn't the problem they were claiming.

We have a hill here that you use to be able to come down off of clear sailing so to speak. By the time they were done if you were up atop of that hill during rush hour you could get home quicker driving a couple miles out of your way and taking another route than to sit in that human created traffic jam for forty five minutes. They call them bump outs to designate parking area's. Have you ever had a problem with deciding by posted signs what was or wasn't a designated parking area? When no cars were parked there you could just swing out around a car turning left, no more, unless you want to take a bump jump. I just guess there isn't enough carbon pollution being spewed for them.

Despite all the awe inspiring improvements you, I and many others aren't blinded to how none of this makes any sense unless there's another over all hidden agenda. You don't build apartment developments as an investor with retail space below and after three, four, five years the vast majority of it is still sitting there empty. That's space you have to heat, electrify, and insure, space you are making no money on. It just doesn't add up, doesn't make a lick of common sense unless you view it as an over all plan to something else. Like one day having to invest in a bike with baskets to get your groceries home as they sell out our energy to two billion people in China and six hundred million people in Europe. But it's their grave they keep voting for thinking this is all about saving the planet.
