You do realize that on any given tuesday the workers can simply continue to produce and distribute the goods while refusing to pay the bosses/owners for them and consumerism would continue unabated.
As long as the work to fill the shelves continues, the stores stay stocked.
As long as the work is done, the goods are otherwise free.
Sometimes your logic baffles me. At some point someone is going to say I work harder than you so it's not a fair exchange, or this was more costly to produce so why should I accept in trade that which doesn't come close in comparison.
