I was outside last week when the mailman came by, he asked how long I'd been living here and I said thirty some years to long. I take it you don't like it here he replied and I said I never have and still regret the day I moved back on this side of town. He said I can get you a realtor who can sell this house for three hundred to four hundred thousand. I just laughed and told him I can't even get what the city says it's worth. I told him all these investors come in here and want you to lower the price so basically I end up doing all the upgrading for them while they make the profit. He said the city often times low balls the value and he thinks he could get his realtor to get four hundred. He said single family homes and apartments are renting for twenty five hundred a month in my area and I have a two unit with three bedrooms on each side, 350, 400 easy he said. Well today his realtor called me. I was outside gardening so I'll have to call her tomorrow....but if she can get that kind of money I am out of here. I'd literally be nuts not to take it but everything that sounds to good to be true usually is. I'd take the money and built a duplex someplace else.
