Here's the overall tone I think you are missing...

The Pfizer story wasn't his, or least that's what they were led to believe what was suppose to be taking place, more than likely because they can't move forward developing PV into anything more than James O'Keefe whom they all felt was just to intolerable and impersonal to work alongside of. He had a "you are nothing without me attitude" and when they moved in another direction he somehow swept in underneath, took control to stay relevant and he's now paying for it. I mean really you can see his arrogance when he tells the board to fire themselves. He didn't show the revenue for the last two years, for the last year shown twenty two million income isn't a whole lot if it kept declining over the next two years. He's out flying all over the place, taking limo's everywhere he goes and throwing twelve thousand dollar parties...what kind of expenses is that versus what he was taking in the last two years. Plus he still lies about the guy whose life he destroyed and he wasn't even a Pfizer executive, they were really after the woman who oversaw that contracted employee but he was in marketing not research, at least he admitted he was lying to impress a date. O'Keefe is never going to admit he was lying. The biggest what's up is the fact that after he told them all to quit he shows up to a board meeting and they have a bunch of employees parked in there. He knew he was done.
