It's not unusual here in Michigan for it to be dark around six but someone did post up a question on FB asking if it wasn't weird that we seem to be getting darker earlier than normal. I actually paid attention and it does appear it is darker earlier. It's rather dark around 5:30 and we are in the same time zone as DC.
