As far as Russia getting cut out I say the cards are still on the table. If Russia felt that threatened in losing billions in revenue the first thing they would have done is captured or taken out those new green energy mining operations in Ukraine. That's been there first target. Now if Russia was told or granted they'd get part of the China transition, supplying China's LNG needs than taking out the pipelines would be no big deal as Russia would be entering a whole new market worth three quarters more than the market they were serving. It's just these people are or have been so deceptive it's hard to make a call on what is really transpiring when it comes to these energy transition schemes.
