Someone else pointed this out on another site. Someone made a comment this must be why Sri Lanka is one of the highest gross domestic producers in the world or something to that effect.

This paragraph:

"For those of us at the high end of the social ladder, ending hunger globally would be a disaster. If there were no hunger in the world, who would plow (SHOULD BE PLOUGH) the fields? Who would harvest our vegetables? Who would work in the rendering plants? Who would clean our toilets?"

Reminded me of a email I sent to Bill O'Reilly once who had an incessantly bad habit of putting down people who got food stamps. I agreed with his assessment of people who drop out of society to go hang at the beaches all day, or the college students who came from rich families automatically qualifying because they were student but not everyone I told him has the here to all, ambition, education, fortitude, or whatever else ails them to become millionaires by pulling themselves up by the boot straps. I went on and described to him how my sons (a few years ago) were making the exact same amount of money I had made twenty, twenty five years prior. I listed what my rent was, utilities, car payment, car insurance and even tossed in the less than twenty I paid for cable tv. Than I detailed what I was paying at that current time, though I had a mortgage I put what people were paying for rents than. I told him he had to lighten up on people who literally couldn't buy the same things afforded people twenty five years prior who could at the least afford to even have a car payment. He took it to heart because he stopped complaining about people in general. I said the same things to him also, who'd clean your toilets, who'd show you what aisles had what in them at the stores, who'd show you to your seat at stadiums, etc, etc, his world wouldn't function the same if everyone had the here to all to become a millionaire by pulling on their boot straps.
