I am not of the impression of food shortages in the US next year unless we end up seeing them exporting food to other countries. I think we will see another spike in prices because of the higher cost of fertilizer. That may be minimized further by farmers who bought their fertilizer stock for this year at the end of last year before the Russia-Ukraine thing. Locally here if there's going to be a problem with shortages from an early freeze, drought or to much rain it makes the local news and I haven't seen any farmers being interviewed about the impact of fertilizer or fertilizer pricing. Plus I am calculating in the win/lose pattern play out. I am of the impression that we are going to be entering a "win" scenario, Trump was a "win" scenario, Biden was a "lose" scenario, though basically, if you read my last op, Trump laid the pattern for the "lose", anyhow, if republicans gain control there has to be a turnaround plan in place. Food shortages wouldn't be part of that plan.....and we have to keep winning all the way to the next presidential election to appease people enough so that when they rig it again people won't feel so bad after having spent a while be a winner that they lose the presidential. I just calculate that based on the fact of the underlying damages from the vaccine and I just don't see Trump up there denying science and if they try to mandate the shots for school kids before entering school and him being in charge while they do it....I just, at the moment, not of the opinion that they will let the vaccine issue ride six, seven years down the rode before trying to mandate it for schools. To keep the vaccine alive they have to go after the kids because the adults simply aren't going to do it. They aren't going to let them go after the kids either but they will try. I think they know they have to change their focus to inoculating the future generation in their population control agenda. Also Trump has already laid the blue print for the US participation in the energy transition (read my last op), how is he going to stand up there and tell Americans their gas bills are going to spike because there's not enough gas being processed to supply us and the commitment made to Europe? I just don't see how they have that one worked out yet to work in his favor. We don't have enough gasoline or jet fuel because every refinery wanting to make top dollar is making natural gas out of our oil for shipment to Europe, the demand is high so the profit return is greater. I think that, along with the refinery issues is driving the cost of gasoline because the price has to be competitive (profitable) enough to compete with those getting top dollar for natural gas. Unless something else transpires I am of the opinion that we will "win, win, win" until the presidential, then lose but hold the house and senate but not enough to override a presidential veto. In a scenario such as that the vaccines survive.
