The US financed the construction and equipment for the Ukraine labs, they do not fund them solely operationally, it's a collaborated global endeavor through the Global Threat Reduction Program formerly the Threat Reduction Program run by the US and Russia to disarm nuclear weapons. After that program wound down the US stopped investing in it so they did a make over where thirty some countries fund and coordinate global threats. The only pentagon run lab in that region is in Tbilisi Georgia and is a level 4 lab which only US pentagon personnel has access to. I see a lot of people sharing those deleted links documents with the part where it states custody of the labs were handed over to Ukraine, after the construction and equipping. Yes it's common for labs to store pathogens that are years old in case they have to trace back to an origin of a virus. Tucker Carlson making such a big deal out of Ukraine might having decades old pathogens from Russia frozen there, but that's part of these labs being also labeled as reference labs. People complaining why do they need certain pathogens if those diseases aren't prevalent in that country. It's because we live in a global economy where we ship animals all over the world and birds migrate all over the place, not to mention global travel among people. If someone happened to live in Ukraine and was struck by an uncommon virus would they prefer that Ukraine had the ability to quickly identify the virus or would they with maybe just a few hours to live want Ukrainian scientist to be shifting through scientific studies and making a few phone calls to try and figure out what they are dealing with. The news conference by Russia today at the UN didn't yield any smoking gun on gain of function research being done there, which they shouldn't be doing in a level 3 lab anyway if they had found something but most of what they put forth is rehashed (accusations) stuff readily available online if people look for it. If some false flag doesn't come out of this by any of the parties involved in this controversy than I'd probably just think Russia may have been trying to scare people to get out of the way. I am hoping the latter for people's sake.
