I was thinking this morning on my way back home from dropping off my son at work downtown now surreal the homeless population really is. Usually we don't even think about it outside of seeing people on a street corner pandering for money, drive by one sitting on a sidewalk somewhere or reading about them in the media. To actually see them dispersing from the homeless shelters in the morning as they aren't allowed to stay inside during the day unless it's cold enough to kill them being outside is rather daunting. This is life for them, they'll go down to the soup kitchen for breakfast then wonder the streets until it's time to go back to the soup kitchen to get something to eat for dinner, then it's more wondering the streets until sign in time at the shelter. For what? So that China, India, and other third world countries citizens can have our jobs because those people are willing to work for near nothing, maybe a couple extra morsels to set on their tables while people like Bezos and other corporate heads can make ten times more money then they'll ever need in twenty lifetimes? They don't pay enough to keep a roof over someone's head. They also don't help these people in third world countries improve their lifestyles, if they did offer enough opportunity to actually get ahead these people would start their own businesses, slowly built up their own communities and then they wouldn't need the meager earnings given them to buy a couple extra bags of flour to survive...that's the whole problem, they worry people will become self sufficient and grow enough not to be needing them and their meager offerings. Keeping people down guarantees a workforce, lifting people up means competition, maybe even against them and they can't have that. Some states in the US the minimum wage is still seven something an hour....can you imagine trying to live of that?...and the answer isn't to take money from the rich and redistribute it through the government to the poor, the rich will just leave. The answer lies in higher wages, making employers responsible for providing health benefits and making it cost employers to leave this country more than if they had stayed. If you want to say that will hurt product distribution globally then be thankful because it will solve the so called climate change problem. Really what's the difference if you have to pay a bit more for a product or get taxed to try and solve the climate issue? It really makes a whole lot more sense because taking jobs back away from countries who have no desire to upgrade equipment or be innovative in stopping air pollution and bringing them back to a country who does actually saves us money in the long as we also won't be trying to bribe them by handing them millions of dollars to improve on their pollution output. It never use to be like this to this extent, homeless people use to barely fill one building and now you need several in a city just to keep up with the increasing amount of homeless, we once had a system that enabled people to live a sustainable lifestyle, there's nobody that wants to wake every morning and go provide labor all day then not even be able to manage to pay all their bills. The people rising up now is just the beginning, it will get worse as decades proceed, the left needs to get them stir up and call those in the movement that elected Trump that those people are racist nazi's working against their best interest when it's the furthest from the truth, those in the Trump movement are doing so because they are fed up with the system that is making so many people homeless...but they can't have the two forces joining forces otherwise they'd have to cough up more money out of their own pockets and they aren't about to have that.
