Well, well, well what do we have here, a poll put out by CNN, lets have ourselves a bit of a looksy at that poll. The poll was conducted of 1002 adults over the age of 18, 35% described themselves as democrats, 25% described themselves as republicans and 41% described themselves as independents or other. That's a whole whopping 101% of the population. We all feel so bad for that one percent who often get left out of these polls, it's so politically incorrect to exclude them but on occasion we do find a poll that includes them. If we take away that one percent who don't exist except on the voter rolls of dead people who are still voting, plus deduct that ten percent advantage the democrats had over the republicans in conducting the poll that would mean his disapproval rating fell seven percent since March when it was forty eight percent. Where you got forty three percent in March and fifty two percent in April and how that adds up to twenty percent difference is beyond me, I guess we should just settle for being thankful you are not in the poll conducting business. If we took the poll results as they stand it read fifty two percent disapproved in April versus forty eight percent in March, plus or minus 3.5% margin of error and he's about right on the money where he stood last month.

As far as the assumption that the changes you tried to describe as happening as a result of people losing their rally around the president and my state is fine has been lost the poll doesn't seem to reflect that. When asked if in the last few days people had the same amount of concern over getting the virus or more concern of getting the virus fifty eight percent said they had the same and thirty seven percent said they had more concern. Where do those level of concerns stand? Forty six percent (net) felt likely to get the virus and fifty percent (net) said not likely.

With sixty percent feeling not fine about returning to normal routine by the end of April, seventy percent confident they could get care if inflicted with the virus and a incredible amount of 77% percent who understand what is acceptable under the guidelines and 77% following the guidelines of not visiting family, friends and neighbors that would seem to reflect that a majority of people understand the severity of the situation and are trusting our presidents measures in place to safeguard them. To me a number that high is incredibly telling. Doesn't matter if you are a democrat, republican, independent the vast majority of the population realizes that if it was left up to the top twenty five percent of highest wage earners in this country they'd throw the lowest wage earners under the bus in a quest for that all mighty dollar. That is reflected in the percentage of people who when asked if the government was doing enough to stop the spread of the virus fifty five percent said no and a total of 69% said the government wasn't doing enough to protect health care workers. That means as a whole of our government people gave them a worse rating than the president. They have less trust in them and who could blame them when they are all at home hiding while the president is the only one visibly seen everyday out on the front line trying to fight this epidemic on all fronts.
