That reminded me of when I was looking for a house to buy. I wanted to buy a house in a particular neighborhood that runs along the river. The realtor sent me down to take a look at a house on the river. You could have literally opened the back door onto a patio and threw out a line. Not a bad idea if you are living single or as a couple but with two kids and one being in the walker phase I could just envision someone making the mistake of leaving the slider open and them tumbling off the patio steps down in the river. That wasn't a to far off reality really given that one time when their nieces were over I lived in an upstairs apartment. Luckily the stairs went in a spiral pattern the last few steps upon reaching the door as I think for that reason sort of slowed the tumble down the steps after one of them left the door open and down my son went...I caught the walker before it got to the straight down part.
I've seen a lot of these usually houses as a blogger, in Japan there's a number of them. People can get pretty creative. The kettle house looks like something you'd lock someone inside of, it would be interesting to see the inside of the space ship house, being rounded and how they utilized the space in such a rounded structure.
