I recycle almost all plastic straws I end up using by washing them in my warm dish water then rinsing thoroughly. I save them all in a large container and reuse them myself often along with the styrofoam cups, lids I brought the product in by making my own beverage(s) before leaving the house if I am going to he out and about at the park or going out of town. My grand kids also love to make bubbles in their drinks so I always have plenty of straws to go around. I have never once had to ever consider even buying straws....now that's ecologically and economically advantageous!
