But yet the only talk out on the media circuit is that if this is drug out it will be by democrats and not republicans. If Schumer lays out a list of demands unacceptable to McConnell and he rejects them then the democrats can vote to impeach but withhold transferring it to the house on the claims the process would be unfair...though everyone knows whose been unfair in this process so far.

Maybe this has been democrats plans all along, to save face with their base they can make claims they impeached the president. With all this talk by some on the democratic side of continuing on with impeachment attempts next year if this one fails gives raise to if this isn't what they have been up to all along. They don't send the transfer to the senate while spending the next year adding whatever suits their fancy to it, wait, drawing on the hope they can flip the senate in a (unlikely) election bid that would give them control enough to impeach him. They wouldn't take power until Jan 3 in any improbable scenario, the current vote of impeachment would have expired but it'd give them two, three weeks to run through a speedy trail, vote and remove him before he could be sworn into office again.

It's all crazy but the democrats seem to thrive on crazy right now. There's really no reason for the senate to want to draw this out, there's no reason for it, having all the democratic candidates back out on the road making fools of themselves is good for Trump.
