As part of his question posed at Joe Biden, Anderson Cooper said:
President Trump has falsely accused your son of doing something wrong while serving on a company board in Ukraine. I want to point out there’s no evidence of wrongdoing by either one of you.
"I want to point out" of something that is not an established fact as it has never been investigated and is established by Biden's own words on video that he threatened to withhold aid if the prosecutor investigating the company his son was on the board of wasn't fired, is as close as you can get to saying "I am sorry I feel compelled to ask you this as a reporter". By phasing it the way he did he is exonerating himself from the bad lash if he had just asked, "You were on tape admitting to withholding aid from Ukraine if they did not fire a prosecutor investigating a company your son Hunter was on the board of. As vice president why would that not be considered a quid pro quo?"
