Any good is better than doing no good for sure but at:

Nearly $200 million is a fortune, but to Benioff, it's not as much as it sounds. According to Forbes, his 2018 net worth is $4.9 billion, nearly $1 billion more than his $4 billion net worth in 2017. That means in just a year, his net worth increased by $900 million, earning him a spot on Forbes' 2017 and 2018 richest people in the world lists.

Broken down, that's:

$102,740 an hour
$2.47 million a day
$17.3 million a week
$75 million a month

there really shouldn't be that many "homeless shareholders" still living in tents on the streets. Deciding to donate one percent of your employees time doing good in the community isn't solving the issue of homelessness it's just providing more volunteers to help at the soup kitchen.

His harp against large tech companies as to influential and addictive I could say the same for his magazine Time, which he owns. As a news junkie I use to be addicted to reading Time, subscribed to it for many years...until it changed formats to a more left leaning ideology. Huummm....now I know why. I am sure his bias against FB has a whole lot more to do with the 2016 controversy of Russian trolls who infiltrated FB to supposedly influence the election against his chose preferred candidate....but I am sure he never tried that with his own magazine. /s

Yes every little bits helps, I commend him for that. Do I think he sits in a position to preach to the choir they aren't doing enough? Not really as I think he could do better himself.

It's always good to bring focus to these types of discussions, I think if more bloggers/site owners highlighted these issues for discussion maybe more corporations would realize that consumers would like them to focus on these issues more.
