I wasn't trying to say it doesn't benefit some people. From those over the years I have known who have been put on medications and from experience within my own family I think background and experiences play a huge role when it comes to those who successfully are helped by those drugs. I like to somewhat categorize it into three groups. People who have experienced mild depressive symptoms or drug use mainly after a down tick in what would have been an usually mild/successful life, to those who've lacked good experiences for whatever multitude of reasons but haven't gone over the edge, to those who have gone completely over the edge. With the first and third group more than likely helped by the use of medications, the middle group just wedges into a inevitable endless feeling of sadness inside, they have a hard time carrying on at times but are harmless to society as they haven't totally lost it whereas the craziness would inflict harm upon others.
