I had two nieces, before one was struck and killed by a car, who preferred to live drug addicted and in the streets out in Arizona. This is a common practice of the homeless to find a reason to go behind bars as they'd often claim when calling from jail it's a respite from the streets. Sometimes it was as simple they claimed as defecating in the street in front of a police officer. There are other stories out there of people who do the same exact thing.

Before I made the comment I also looked at his history, he's been debunked by Oath Keepers, a legit organization who went and tried to verify his claims and by Alex Jones. Psychologically this is a man who found a way to make some money living off the streets by gaining followers among the homeless and posting absurd claims on the internet.
