Pacific Northwest SteemSilverGold Meetup and.......Baseball Game!?

Let me start by saying I have absolute delusions of grandeur while also realizing that I will likely be sitting at a Mariners/Tigers game in Seattle by myself next Saturday, if at all, and I'm ok with that. But let me back up a bit here and explain...

My folks will be in Seattle on Friday to board a cruise to Alaska and I thought it would be nice to head up and see them off. Now, there are a couple of SSG people that I think I'd enjoy meeting, @plaid & @thedamus (though, technically @thedamus lives in the Pacific Southwest of Canada). I KNOW crossing the US/Canadian border is no fun at all and the trip from Vancouver to Seattle is 3+ hours ( I think) but I am still hopeful that the big man can make it down. As for @plaid, well, maybe I will bump into him as he roams the streets taking pictures of domain names on delivery vans.

I will be meeting @dfinney once again for a possible trip to her "sketchy" LCS. Sounds, uh, great. ;) Actually, I am looking forward to it as I don't have an LCS within 90 miles of my home. So being in Seattle on a Friday evening with my house 4 hours away I decided to grab a hotel room to wait out the EVIL that is Seattle traffic on a Friday in summer.

Enter the baseball game. I was checking into things happening in Seattle Saturday and I found the Mariners have a 1:05 game against Detroit.

Yep, FREE beach towel to the first 10,000 people. I mean, who wouldn't want one of these snazzy towels?
