The song was released as a single in November, 1979. The B-side of this single is an instrumental version of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer called Rudolph the Red Nosed Reggae
"Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" by John & Yoko/The Plastic Ono Band with the Harlem Community Choir was released on December 1, 1971, exactly 31 days after I was born 馃槤.
At the time it was also a protest song about the Vietnam war, it has since become a Christmas standard and has been covered by numerous artists including, Neil Diamond, Diana Ross, and Celine Dion.
The third tune is not as popular, but it's a Ringo original.
Ringo is the only Beatle to release a whole Christmas Album, which was released in 1999. It has some standards as well as a few original Christmas songs.
"Ding Dong, Ding Dong" is a song by George Harrison, written as a New Year's Eve singalong and released in December 1974 on his album Dark Horse. For the first time with one of his singles, Harrison made a promotional video for "Ding Dong", which features scenes of him miming to the track at Friar Park while dressed in a variety of Beatle-themed costumes. This is the first time I've seen the video and I love it!
