I recently picked up a new copper coin and it is absolutely amazing. I happened on this piece while browsing Hero Bullion and I'm glad I did.
This thing is high relief and packed with cool features, check it!
Now the obverse has some cool stuff too, starting with a thankfully small depiction of the rich woman. Then there's the route with a 💥 at the crash site followed by an elevation of the ship from the side and of the bottom floor.
Then around the rim are the pertinent stats from the unsinkable vessel:
LENGTH 269.1 M . BEAM 28.2 M . HEIGHT 53.5 M . DRAUGHT 10.5 M . SPEED 23 KN . POWER 51’000 HP . TONNAGE 46’328 GRT . CAPACITY 2435 PASSENGERS, 982 CREW . OWNER WHITE STAR LINE . BUILDER HARLAND & WOLFF . MAIDEN VOYAGE 1912 APRIL 10 . SINKING 1912 APRIL 15 . VICTIMS 1514.
Let's take a closer look...
The detail is amazing :o
There were only 5000 of the copper version minted, you can see the silver and gold versions on the companies website here: https://www.cit.li/ but BE WARNED, these guys mint the most amazing bullion coins I've ever seen...EVER...and they are not cheap.
