Over the last year or so I've been collecting a medieval legends silver round series from Provident Metals.

I posted about the series when it was announced and asked for guesses about which legends you thought would be featured. Check it out, and follow along...

Round 2

Pied Piper

The second round in this series features the Pied Piper of Hamelin. The legend dates back to the Middle Ages. The story describes a person in multicolored clothing (pied: having two or more different colors) hired by the town to lure the rats away with his magic pipe. He does so, but the town does not pay up. The piper then uses his magic pipe to lure the children of the town away ☠️

As the story goes, the piper lured 130 children to a cave outside town and they were never heard from again.

These are the types of legends I like. Seemingly nice at first glance but look a little deeper and 💥....dark af 🖤
