Planning games as a family is one of our favorite family past times. And our favorite family game is Dominion. It is simple enough for a child to play and complex enough for an adult to play over and over.

I had an epic play during the game. I must admit that I am competitive, even with my kiddos. And I have to be because they are smart. Just because I am an adult does not guarantee a win with my crew.
I had a play that allowed me to earn over 50 points in one turn. Earning 15 points in a turn is high - 50 is unheard of.
Then my second daughter (I have 5 daughters by the way) said, "Now we are fighting for second place." I was floored. Her smile did not fade and her joy did not wane. She was determined to keep pressing forward even though victory was out of reach.
I am a proud papa. I want my kiddos to overcome obstacles with joy.
