I experienced something new today while playing #splinterlands! I just wanted to share this as a warning.
Since my early days of playing #splintelands, I have always had an affinity for the Earth Splinter (Go Green!). After Rebellion was released, I wanted to check out all the new Earth Summoners.
Rebellion Summonners increase the number of choices a player can make. As always, players need to make sure they make the right choice. It could be the difference between victory or defeat.
Check out these beauties!

Give two Melee Units +2 attack or Select One Unit to be Poisoned
Let's focus on the star of today's show, Underboss Fabion!
Admittedly, I had never chosen the great Fabino to be my summoner. I have stronger Earth Summoners and prefer not to play with starter cards.
But in this battle, my opponent selected Underboss Fabino.
I was anticipating that one of my monsters would be poisoned OR that two of my opponent's melee monsters would be strengthened.
Imagine my surprise when one of my opponent's monsters was poisoned (poisoned by my opponent). "Can you do that?" I thought to myself.
Yes, you can absolutely do that. I decided to run a little test. Let me show you what I found.
First, I picked Underboss Fabino (although he was a starter card). Next, I had to decide: poison one monster or strengthen two monsters. I opted to make two Melee Monsters stronger. I picked one of my monsters and one of my opponent's monsters. Finally, I sat in amazement as I had made a very initial decision to help the enemy. Wozza!
It still blows my mind. Although seemingly illogical from a strategic point of view, nothing in the game prevents you from harming yourself or helping out your opponent.
Let's continue the conversation in the comments section.
