Yes, while this story was supposed to fictional (and is for Texas for now) I don't doubt that it is taking place in other areas of the world. It doesn't take much imagination to imagine it happening but people here can't seem to grasp what is really happening.
A lot of that lack of grasp can be attributed to the mainstream media refusing to actually report the news accurately. How ignorant can a reporter be to not know the difference between a "peaceful protest" and a full blown riot with burning and looting of buildings like has gone on for months on end in Portland, Oregon and other places? The news just stopped reporting it even though it continues, very sad what the news media has become.
I've talked about misplaced trust recently in my Dash and there is no better example of this than people continuing to rely on mainstream media to keep them informed.
Thanks for the read, comment and great chart showing what is going on in Africa to show that fiction in one place is reality in another.
Have a great weekend,
Sult
