Dovetails are huge in determining the quality for sure. Nothing like having a good tight piece when it comes to that.
Rockers, tables, and drop front desks with pigeon hole storage are my favorites to work on. Never have been big on dressers, but if the right one comes along I wouldn't pass it up.
I think the contest was a very good one and the participation excellent!
There were very good entries, I didn't comment on the entries individually but I need to go do that if I can make some time. I am swamped with work.
This pandemic has actually increased our business believe it or not. Folks evidently chose to take the vacation money they would have spent going somewhere this summer and elected to do "back yard amenities" like landscaping, pools, outdoor kitchens and stuff. Some manufactures can't keep up with demand, I have product lines that are up over 20% from last year and 2019 was a good year too.
So I'm busy as hell right now, normally the pattern is from July 20th thru labor day things slow down as people try to get vacations in and back to school shopping done but this year it is totally different.
Thanks for all the support and the inspiration for that contest,
