They did in fact make it back okay and the boy was the big winner of the three of them. He had a net gain of $280 and some change. The wife ended up $60 ahead but after gas for the trip it was more like $10 in her pocket. Our friend Pattie started out good and was up nearly a grand but ended up down $100 of her own money plus the $100 she got in casino credits from the Windstar casino.
You are so right about cops not knowing the laws, there are so many videos on YouTube that expose that fact it isn't even funny anymore. Plus they have guns and big egos and that is a recipe for disaster. People actually make a living filming police interactions just from the YouTube earnings in some instances but then throw in the money they get in settlements from the cities and counties who employ these dumb ass egotistic cops and they are making some real good cash $40K for a night in jail is pretty common from some I've watched.
Of course there are others that have damn near been beaten to death or worse that probably wished they hadn't taken up that profession of filming despite the lucrative earning potential.
The contest should be fun, I need to get my act together and start lining it out, it is almost Saturday for me since I post the evening before hand in most cases.
