I am not in favor of a "cashless" society unless it done in way that replaces the current government run baking systems and all the transaction are done on a blockchain.
Government banks having the ability to "just lock up" your funds with a few key strokes is a very risky situation to be in for sure, at least with cash you have some chance of survival.
