Yep... so all those folks who "suffer" some type of police brutality or miscarriage of justice in their eyes will, more times than not, when on the "stand" and asked if they "suffered" such and such... they say "yes, yes I did" and then wonder why the judge finds nothing wrong and they lose their case.
Because the testimony they gave said, "I could have done something about it, but didn't." is how the judge sees that "yes, yes I did" reply.
