All I can say Janton is you thought wrong. Decisions in common law courts cannot be revisited by any other court, their decision in final.
The reason is that people of the jury both determine the law of the society (community) at the time of the case and they also judge the facts(testimony) and make their decision on both. So it is basically a "real time" decision for how life and society is going at the time.
