Haha, it's funny, how can someone generalize this.
Breakups are bad but there is no study that defines how bad it is for any particular gender. It is all about how emotionally you were involved with your partner. More is the emotional connect, more it hurts.
Guys cheat, so do girls. Guys go serious in relationships and so do girls. Guys like casual relationships and so do girls. So it's not about any gender, it's about how deeply you connect and involve.
It is also about expressing. Some people are badly affected but know how to contain their emotions and balance their future life. So they go ahead with their normal routine and try to move on but that doesn't mean that they aren't hurt. While there are others who have an emotional outburst and are very open and loud about it, feel like sharing it with their friends to feel better.
Very subjective matter I would say.
