Two weeks back we celebrated my nephew's first birthday. It was a grand celebration of around 200 people in a nice hotel. My family was there, my cousins whom I had not met for a long time.
Prior to Covid, we used to host and attend a lot of parties and meet friends and cousins. But Covid kind of ruined everything. Staying at home, not parties, not meeting people. And I think Covid was especially bad for the kids, their social life was badly disrupted. Kids of the covid era are used to staying with just a few people they see in their house. They aren't very open to meeting people and being in crowded places.
Now that covid has settled, life is back to normal and we hve started stepping out of home.
So the party was in a nice 5-star restaurant. It was a night function and we planned to stay there the next day so that we could enjoy the function till late. The food was amazing, there was dance, there were drinks and a lot of laughter.
Raag enjoyed a lot too. He was on the dance floor for a lot of time and enjoyed watching people dancing and laughing. He also played with kids of his age which made me really happy.

It was such a nice day and an amazing break from work and routine life. I hope covid doesn't invade our lives again.
