When I first joined Wrestling Organization Online last August 12 of last year, the one thing that I immediately noticed was the game's unique NFT art style. This was done mostly by WOO's lead artist, Dom The Son. If I were to describe these artwork, I can say that it's similar to comic book illustrations but with a distinct emphasis on shadows and shades. For me, this works well in defining the muscular body of wrestlers.
Dom's designs have helped create WOO's own unique identity in the blockchain space. Just like how you can easily distinguish the artstyle from The Simpsons, Dragonball, etc., one look at an art piece done by Dom and you can easily tell that it's from Wrestling Organization Online.
And having your own unique brand is very important in the cryptospace. I'm starting to grow sick and tired of seeing countless AI-generated artwork run rampant in most NFT projects. Having a game with its own distinct style adds a good first impression to new users. Bookerman's decision to have his own lead artist is one of the reasons why WOO stands out more than other projects.
One of my long-term dreams in WOO is to commission Dom to have my very own wrestling character illustrated, and if somewhat possible, be included in the roster. But based on past AMAs I've attended, I am imagining that he is still drowning in tasks as various character animations are still needed to be done. But at the very least, I'd like to highlight and show my appreciation to @domthesonartist for doing a phenomenal job. See you guys on game launch. WOO!
