Being a NeoGeo Arcade port on Playstation, I don't remember being that bad right? I'm just gonna think that it's the emulation issue.
The whole time playing it when recording, i have no clue how to use Shaia moves, special or not. So i just spam buttons, sorry about that in advance.
But as for how it was hype back in the day? Ah~ i can already remember like it was yesterday. In the sea of gaming and anime magazines, you can see pictures of Shaia/Karin the "poster child" on a lot of the covers or a few pages into the magazine during the pre and post launch of the game.
Featuring Shaia and Karin especially skimpy using character designs from Masami Ōbari. You are sure to get attention if you use his stuff.
This trend continues when it was coming to NeoGeo AES and Playstation. You see even more publishers of the magazine trying to cash in on horny dudes basically.
Anyway enjoy my crappy use of Shaia to do normal attack and the seldom special moves. LOL Enjoy your day/night.
