Chapter 42: Forty-Two Upgrades Later… This One Splinterlands Card Keeps Proving That Patience Beats Chasing Every New Release
Forty-two upgrades.
One monster.
One long-term mission that continues to surprise me with every new level.
In Splinterlands, there's always something new competing for your attention. New cards enter the game, strategies evolve, and the meta never stays the same for long. It's tempting to spread your resources across an entire collection.
I chose a completely different challenge.
Rather than investing in dozens of monsters, I've continued pouring every upgrade into the very same card. Today marks Chapter 42 of that journey, and once again, this monster has grown stronger.
Another Level, Another Milestone
When I began this series, my only goal was to document the progress of a single card.
I never expected it to become one of the longest-running projects I've shared on Hive.
Forty-two upgrades later, this card has become much more than another unit in my deck. It represents consistency, discipline, and the belief that small improvements eventually create something remarkable.
Every additional BCX I combine feels rewarding because I know exactly how many battles, rewards, and previous upgrades have led to this moment.
Watching one monster slowly transform into a high-level card has been one of the most satisfying experiences I've had in Splinterlands.
Why I Still Focus on One Single Card
Many players prefer expanding their collection as quickly as possible.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with that approach.
For me, however, there's something far more rewarding about fully committing to one monster and watching its evolution over time.
Every chapter becomes another page in this story, showing that meaningful progress doesn't always happen overnight.
With every new level, this card gains more value for my account:
⚔️ Improved stats that make it even stronger in battle.
⚔️ Greater flexibility across multiple rulesets.
⚔️ A more competitive collection for future matches.
⚔️ Better long-term investment inside the game.
⚔️ Another step toward reaching its maximum level.
One upgrade may seem small.
Forty-two upgrades tell a completely different story.
The Journey Keeps Getting Better
Looking back at the early chapters reminds me how much this project has grown.
What started as a simple experiment has turned into a personal challenge that I genuinely look forward to continuing. Every new level motivates me to keep collecting copies, improving this card, and sharing each milestone with the Hive community.
