Chapter 40: Forty Upgrades Later… My Splinterlands Card Has Finally Reached Level 4!
Forty upgrades. One card. One incredible milestone.
Most Splinterlands players eventually shift their focus to new cards, new strategies, or the latest additions to the game. I decided to take a completely different path.
Instead of constantly expanding my collection, I've dedicated myself to improving the very same monster over and over again. Today, after 40 upgrade posts, that commitment has reached one of its biggest milestones yet.
My card has officially reached Level 4.
For many players, Level 4 might seem like just another number. For me, it's the result of weeks of consistency, careful planning, and the decision to trust a long-term strategy instead of chasing quick results.
The Journey Keeps Getting Better
When I published the very first chapter of this series, I simply wanted to document the process of building one powerful card from the ground up.
I never expected this challenge to become one of my favorite long-term projects.
Now, forty chapters later, every upgrade tells part of the story.
Each additional copy has slowly transformed this monster into something far stronger than when I started. Watching the progress one level at a time has been incredibly satisfying, especially because every improvement feels earned.
And today isn't just another upgrade...
Today marks the moment this card officially enters Level 4, making all the previous upgrades feel even more rewarding.
Why I Continue Investing in the Same Card
Many players prefer buying several different monsters to cover more battle situations.
That's a perfectly valid strategy.
My approach is different.
I enjoy focusing my resources on a single card and pushing it as far as possible. Every upgrade increases both its usefulness and its value while allowing me to document every step of the journey for the Hive community.
Reaching Level 4 brings several advantages:
⚔️ Better stats for more competitive battles.
⚔️ Stronger overall performance in different rulesets.
⚔️ Higher Collection Power for my account.
⚔️ Greater long-term value within my collection.
⚔️ Another major milestone on the road to the maximum level.
Progress doesn't always happen overnight.
Sometimes the biggest achievements come from repeating the same small action again and again.
Forty Chapters Later...
Looking back at everything documented so far, it's amazing to see how much this single card has evolved.
What started as a simple experiment has turned into a long-running series that continues motivating me to keep upgrading and sharing every milestone here on Hive.

Today, I'm celebrating more than just another upgrade.
I'm celebrating 40 consecutive chapters and the achievement of finally bringing this monster to Level 4.
The mission isn't finished yet.
