Hope everyone is well. Football World Cup has already started. This organization of the international arena has spread a great influence in our country as well.
Although Bangladesh has never done well in football, there is no doubt that the Bengali nation is very football crazy. As a nation we are very emotional. Especially during this football or cricket world cup it can be realized gradually. The game of football originated in the distant land of China but unfortunately the Chinese did not do well in this game.
The situation is almost the same in our country. Bangladesh has never done well in the qualifying round let alone participating in the World Cup.
Despite this, in domestic football, especially in the field-ghat, the football games that are organized in the villages of Ganj, the mesmerization of the spectators can be seen how emotional Bengalis are towards this game. Just a few years ago, football tournaments were organized in different fields in the villages and cities of Bangladesh. And these games used to have huge crowd but with the passage of time, this football game has almost disappeared due to the disappearance of the playground as well as various social degradations.
I am personally a supporter of the Brazil team in football. I like Brazil's game. Brazil and Argentina are the most supporters of these two teams in Bangladesh.
And the World Cup really started with great excitement between the fans of these two teams. Huge flags are made, jerseys of the favorite team are made and worn to watch the game, hair is cut in imitation of the players of the favorite team, even victory processions are seen after the game in support of the team.
All these are expressions of our love as an emotional nation. Just a few days ago, I came to know the news of the death of a Bangladeshi fan due to the loss of the Argentina team in the first game. Unable to bear the news of the loss of his beloved team, he died of cardiac arrest. How emotional this happens is a matter of perception...
Today I will tell you an incident that I saw myself. A gentleman from the neighborhood is a supporter of the Argentina team. He has been living in Qatar for a long time. Back from Qatar in support of his favorite team, he made eight replicas of Qatar's eight stadiums in his area.
Along with that, the playground has been decorated with the national flags of 32 countries. Not only this, this fan has arranged for people to watch the game by pulling a huge projector in the field. Several television channels in Bangladesh have already made news about it. He said that he organized this only to show his love for his favorite team.
So much for peace loving fans. But there is no dearth of ardent fans. Those who can't stand any speech against their favorite party. Because of which, fights, fights and even murders are not rare in our country. Love or liking for sports is not bad at all but it must be within certain limits. At the same time we must take care not to go beyond the limits and cause annoyance or harm to others.
One should analyze the judgment with a cold head before doing anything without being driven by emotion or passion. It is hoped that this football loving nation will one day bring international glory to the game of football.
