I am really enjoying the Creepshow television series. I loved the movies and the series is just keeping that magic alive. The Creep is spooky as hell in the series and was not really this scary in the movies. The special effects are on point and the stories are really good. Great writing and acting coupled with gore and effects make this a winner series for me.
I am a horror fanatic so you really have to do a good job to impress me. I watched A LOT of horror movies and shows and after awhile stuff stops scaring you because you become sort of desensitized to it. It takes really good horror to make me shiver let alone keep me interested. I think you'll like the Creepshow series if you're a horror fan and have not yet seen it.
I am watching them on Shudder.com. Yes, I am that much of a horror fan that I got a subscription. Most people break up their usual fare with some good old scary movies. I am the opposite most times and I break my horror/paranormal regime with something mundane. I also get into cryptids but that's another story.
Speaking of cryptids/paranormal; I just got done watching an epsiode with a twist that takes us into the paranormal world of asia. A mother tries to help her ailing daughter by making a crossing to Canada to obtain medication. After that, the other half of the episode has us creeping into the world of the walking dead. Each epsiode has two stories. I really enjoy it and Greg Nicotero is doing a fantastic job keeping this franchise alive. I first fell in love with the idea of a thing like Creepshow by getting my hands on some of the old horror comics. Always loved reading those.
Anyway, if you get a chance, check it out sometime. Here is a link to the show on Shudder - https://www.shudder.com/series/watch/creepshow/e1c7254a5ed4de4b?season=1
You can also watch it on Prime and, I believe, Hulu. Hope you enjoy it!
