I splashed £40 on a new watch and did an unboxing video.

Unfortunately my prefered option of presenting it, @3speak, is having issues at present so I've started a YouTube channel.

The watch is a Pagani Design offering, model PD-YS005.

This is 41mm automatic watch powered by the Seiko NH-35. The NH-35 is a workhorse of the watch world and you'll find it in many watches priced between £3-500.

The watch claims to be have sapphire crystal glass and I've seen other reviewers who have tested it confirm that, while it is a lower quality crystal, it is an accurate claim.

The claim to being waterproof is not one I shall be intentionally testing, but hopefully it holds true for any accidental dunking.

I'm pleased with the way the watch looks and how it feels on the wrist. For £42 I'll be happy if it lasts as long as the Spinnaker watch I paid a few hundred for, and which now has a detached winding stem.

Here is the watch with the strap sized down for my wrist:

As a coda, this was the only watch community I could find, and it has obviously not had much activity.

Who are my folks who like their watches? Let us see your daily wears that cost a tenner, your knock-offs and homage for regular use, and the premium watches that you delight in wearing.

I'm sure beatminister@beatminister would be happy to see some activity here.
