I watched - more than watched i went and read the article he co-authored in 2016 On The Physics Of High-Rise Building Collapses.

He points to things and makes an non-sensical assumption about pre-installed explosives whithout pondering alternative causes.

The twin towers were full of aluminium and then each recieved a boeing with 30 tonnes of aluminum into them. The melting aluminium from the planes flowing down and meeting the water from sprinklers resulted in explosive reaction, not the prepositioning of thermite.

When people make extra-ordinary claims they need to bring extra-ordinary proof. Steven Jones brought speculation, and continued to do so after more logical explanations answered the questions he had (the first article I link is a year or two before the one he co-authored).

So, to be clear:
The Twin Towers WERE hit by planes as observed by many, many people, and born out by plane wreckage in the rubble;
The fires they created (from the 9k+ gallons of jet fuel on board each plane) melted aluminium the planes were constructed with and that used in the building. The melting aluminium flowed downwards and reacted with water from sprinklers on lower levels which caused explosive reactions as observed. The impact weakened some steel supports, placing their load on others. The concentrated heat of the fires weakened these supports to the point they bowed and the weight of the buildings above finally overcame the structural integrity.
That the tower hit second, but lower, collapsed first bears this out as the weight above the damaged zone was greater than in the first tower and, in similar constructions, where both are damaged, you would expect the one damaged lower down to succumb first.

Being open-minded is great. But allowing anyone to wander in and fill the space with demonstrably false information is foolish. As the bible proverb says, 'The naive person believes every word, But the shrewd one ponders each step.' (Proverbs 14:15)
