Hi ... !
I have to admit I didn't looked at crypto related charts for about a week. I assumed the bearish trend would continue after the peak last June. However, assumptions are the mother of all f-ups, and this is especially true in the world of cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin is once again on a sharp rise and most altcoins - including STEEM - are participating in the current rise.
Looking at the graph ^above^, we can see that the total market cap plummeted from over $100 billion to just over $60 billion in less than two weeks this month first, but then raced back to almost $100 billion in just ONE week. You'd say that we've just experienced a pretty major bear trap and the trend is still upwards. Or are we seeing a bull-trap right now ... ? I'll not tread into the dangerous territory of assumptions, because ... y 'know ...
Looking at the graph ^above^, it becomes apparant that Bitcoin still slowly gains territory although it still doesn't form an absolute majority with a share of around 48% nowadays. Second place is still occupied by Ethereum, while the third position is being taken by Ripple (XRP).
So, it looks like this rollercoaster-ride hasn't ended yet and we might see a new ATH much sooner than many of us would have expected in the last few weeks or so. Seeya ... !
