My old desktop needed to be replaced.
So I started ordering some parts when the new Ryzen 7 Zen+ CPU's got released last week.
My new desktop is gonna be custom built, with new parts I buy and a few old parts from the old desktop.
These parts are:
I'm going to put this baby together myself and I had to buy the items in the order they became available.
So that would be, Case -> PSU -> CPU -> Motherboard -> RAM.
I am gonna be using an old SSD and an old HDD, but I am going to re-install my OS.
So the layout is gonna be:
The finished build has cost me around $980.
It contains mostly new parts.
I can sell the old PC afterwards for a couple of hundred.
The finished build is gonna be almost double the performance of the old.
The new build will use less power than the old.
The new build has options for expansion. It supports M.2 drives and more RAM.
