I owe today's post to teesart@teesart . The drawing he posted DARK SIDE OF THE MOON reminded me picture I did, what now seem to be ages ago, using Krita and wacom tablet.

I called it 'Boxheads'.

As a inspiration back then I had picture from performance very niche and controversial group
of polish performers called 'Suka OFF'. I am not putting links to their website, because it contains not only adult content, but mess with you if you have weak stomachs.
Their shows are shocking in every way possible. I've seen their act one time in Berlin. Although I think they are amazing performers, it has been a bit to rich even for me, and I would consider myself open-minded. Nevertheless it has left a lasting impression on my memory.

So to clarify – I am not exactly devoted fan of what they are doing, not really. I find them interesting and I used pictures from they performances as a inspiration for some of my drawing. I mention this only, because I want you guys to know where I've found the pictures I've used. I am not adding original pictures because it contains nudity, and as I am comfortable with picture like that, I can imagine, not all people are.

About the drawing

So the drawing was done in 2018. Back then I was very found of Krita program, and to be fair
– I have all intention to get back to it, but atm I am concentrating on gaining confidence in traditional drawing. You can consider this drawing as a prelude to a series of images created digitally in the future.

I wanted to share tic picture a while ago, but I was afraid of being exposed. But soniaperez@soniaperez made me realise that it's worth taking a risk and opening up a bit, because only then can we create something real. Something is truly ours. I really like when drawing isn't only imitation of nature, but has some layers and story behind it. There are some pieces of art that expose the true nature of things. This is the very reason why I like expressionists like Egon Schiele, or Edvard Munch , or Francis Bacon who I wouldn't dare classify, I will leave this task to the art historians.

Art that requires us to acknowledge our own fears, shortcomings and doubts - can be very exhausting, but at the same time allows us to deal with problems, train of thought. Putting our thoughts on paper or on canvas not only helps to put them in order, but can serve as auto-therapy.

I know it does it for me. Doesn't matter if this is drawing, sculpting or writing, as long as we are honest with ourselfs.
