Ok I know what you're thinking. RE7 instead of RE8 now when it was just released? I have a good reason for it though. I know all the hype is on RE8 right now but after testing out the demo and not really finding it to be as scary as I thought. I decided that I should start with this game first since it is known for being pretty scary and apparently the stories of the two games are connected somehow. So this seemed like the right way to do it. Right off the bat the game feels way more scary than the RE8 demo ever did. I think it's probably the whole swamp house feeling more realistic. Anyways this is gonna be where we begin and so far it's pretty scary yo.
PS. I'm not saying RE8 is bad in any way. Just that I didn't really ever play through this game so I decided to start here.
