Herds are removed to the extent necessary for provision of fuel and electricity facilities on our islands.
The Courts of the islands have ruled this afternoon in the cases concerning the seizures by ConocoPhillips and have decided that the herds must be lifted to the extent that this is necessary for the fuel and electricity supply on the islands. This is subject to the condition that the payments for deliveries of oil take place in a specially designated account where the money must remain until it is established whether ConocoPhillips or PDVSA is entitled to that money. The judges further sentenced PDVSA to resume deliveries of oil.
The judges have considered in their judgment that ConocoPhillips has a legitimate interest in securing its claim to PDVSA as much as possible but that a commercial dispute between these two companies does not justify a society as a whole being in danger of being disrupted as a result of a shortage of fuel and electricity. The decisions taken aim to take into account both interests.
So it seems we are good for now but then I found this video. A few day ago there was a very fancy airplane on out tiny airport. RUSSIA!
