You got some really good points there, and most of them I could apply to Mexico pretty accurately too. Cell service is way superior and much cheaper than in the States, let alone Canada (though from what I've heard, Jamaica has even better ones... could be a general trend here, I don't know). The relative interpretation of the law is another important thing, which by the way I believe is the reason why Covid restrictions are a mere formality here. Oh, and the food, absolutely! Though I believe India to have even more diversity, for even lower prices. The part about the importance of the family and the roaming animals fits here as well, though in my view these things can be just as problematic as they seem positive. But these are both more complex issues...
