Autumn went away, winter took place then, and then I thought it is necessary to start with some of the basics of knowledge that I would pass on to Marius. The conversations we conducted were all lengthy and more meaningful, and slowly, I started to tell him little about the history of our rulers and the state. It was a necessary part of the training, because if he can predict what the future could bring, he had to find out the whole picture of what was preceding. It was not an easy task, to transfer all that knowledge. It is primarily because turmoil, revenge, and siege have gone down over the years. What is familiar to us is that such a history of bloody conflicts with various enemies is reversed for the past ten centuries. For such events there are clear records, accidents unknown to the public but there are. Also, I had to explain the entire command and government structure of our state, so that the boy would have an insight into the whole situation and also realized his obligations, as well as the powers. The most important advice I have given him is that a good ruler knows his weaknesses and knows the commanders of his army. Depending on their capabilities, it is necessary to delegate duties. Likewise, as the supreme commander of the military forces, he must be ready to take command or enter combat himself, for his people. For this it is a patchwork additional learning and knowledge of all types of military tactics. I have tried my best to transfer all this book knowledge in the best way possible.

It was the knowledge I acquired in the dark quarters, far from the curious eyes, when others thought that I was on secret tasks in other kingdoms. I could dare say that I am the only warrior who has all the available knowledge there is. The boy was an intelligent and cold heart, and he watched everything I told him from distance. He thought right and instinctively, and I did not have to explain to him any of the situations twice. We spent many nights with the light of the candles, I gave him tactical riddles, which he would have to rescue as a commander, and without exception, he solved everything without any mistakes. I was proud of him for the way he thought.

Winter will be long, and there will be enough time for each area of theoretical training to be overcome. In the spring we will continue the part necessary to become a warrior of the great art. Much will also depend on what character it is in him, when it is found satire in corner. A person left without a choice, when that person is forced to fight for her life, acts instinctively and externally guided by inner forces that no one has ever explained. These moments will decide what kind of warrior he will be.

Marius was a capable hunter, but those habits that remained and learned on the streets, where he spent a large part of his childhood. All these tiny tricks will come well in further training. It was necessary to be able to handle at least three types of weapons. And above all, he must be capable of earning those weapons.
