Its seems to work fine on the iPhone, the only issue I have is when pasting a picture it sometimes is rotated so I have to fix that from a PC but no problems with it registering steps. It also works fine on a bike.

Pretty much useless if the phone needs to be horizontal! Can you try it with other fitness apps to see if the issue is with the phone?
