I am not sure why people are getting upset, this SPS requirment is in the original whitepaper Heck the sps requirment is reduced since the original white paper.

Banning bots in ranked battle might be a problem as mentioned due to the lack of human players. It also depends on the time zones and how many players are on, I am from Australia and it might be a problem
