I just finished reading the manga "Death Note" and I really loved it!
It is the story of this model student, Light Yagami, who finds a particular notebook. The notebook is property of a Shinigami, the Japanese Death God. Entitled 'Death Note', this note has the following instruction: 'The human whose name will be written on this notebook will die'.
Light decides to use this notebook to kill just criminals, with the aim of creating a new perfect world.
But he will have to deal with police, Interpol officers and a famous private detective known as Elle.
So once finished, I decided to find out more about these "shinigami".
They are creatures of Japanese mythology, they are the correspondent of the western "reaper of souls".
There is our living world and then, there would be the kingdom of the Shinigami, governed by a king.
The two kingdoms do not communicate with each other, but a Shinigami can observe life on the Earth. Each Shinigami has notebook of death on which it is enough to write the name and surname of a person, and visualize in the mind the face, and this person dies.
The years that would remain to be lived by the person are added to the years of life of Shinigami. So, death for a Shinigami is difficult, but not impossible. The death only comes if the Shinigami, through his powers, decides to save the life of a person.
Do you know this story? Have you read or seen "Death note"?
Write about you :)
